Before You Renovate, Check Your Roof

A new client reached out to us recently with a smart request.

They had just purchased a commercial building and were gearing up for some major interior renovations. But before they started tearing down walls or picking out finishes, they wanted to know:

What kind of shape is the roof in?

We headed out to perform a full roof condition assessment, which included:

  • Moisture testing to check for hidden water intrusion
  • A visual inspection for any signs of wear, small openings, or aging materials
  • On-site repairs in real time, with the contractor already on the roof

The results? Mostly good news — a few minor issues here and there, like small openings and early signs of trapped moisture. Nothing urgent, but definitely the kind of thing you want to know about before your brand-new ceiling gets soaked.

Why This Matters

Catching those little things now helps avoid big headaches later.

Regular roof assessments can:

  • Extend the life of your roof
  • Reduce the risk of leaks and damage
  • Help you plan and budget more confidently

If you’re planning a renovation (or just haven’t looked up in a while), a condition assessment can give you the clarity you need.

Want to know what’s going on over your head? We can help.
