My name is Michael Black. I’m with the Subtle Roofing Company of Florida and I’m the vice president of service and maintenance. My main focus is to focus on the customer’s problems and and take care of them. So having Structure View help us out uh in several different ways.
Our clients, we try to be everything we can be for our clients. And so if they have a water intrusion problem, we like to offer them third party scans or some kind of scans. Of course, if we’re doing any work roof related, we want to make sure there’s no moisture or any unidentified things going on with the roof. So, it’s good to hire and partner with somebody who can come in and give you what you need as far as the IR and thermal scans.
One project that stands out to mine was a property manager’s facility that had severe leak intrusions and years and years and years and several investigations, we really couldn’t figure out where the water was coming from. I partnered with Jeff and brought him in. He provided us with this report and it was able to pinpoint us down to the section where we could determine exactly what needed to be done without having to tear the whole entire roof up. And it really saved the owner money which made us look good by bringing Jeff in and showing that we can by using some technology we can actually solve the problem instead of going back and doing it the old way where we tear the roof up looking for it.
One key difference between structure and other companies is the one-on-one relationship you get. It’s not like you’re working with a big corporation or a company. you’re actually dealing with a person. The communication is excellent and it gives you that feeling that you have a partner. One value I do find in using structure view. It’s bringing another set of eyes and somebody else in to help you determine what the issues are. It’s not just you telling your client that I feel this is what’s wrong with the problem. You’re actually showing the client that you care enough to bring somebody to help you out and investigate it and determine what’s going on with the issues and you have another set of eyes to help you settle that.
Structure View reports are very professional. It’s easy to read and it’s very easy to sit down with your clients and review it with them so they can understand what’s going on as far as the moisture content of the roof and what needs to be done to process the repair. If I were to recommend structure view to a fellow roofing contractor of mine, I would let them know that the ability for them to come in and identify the moisture in the roof system is going to save you so much time and money.
It’s going to make you look so much better in front of your customer when you partner up and you’re able to show them that you can find the problem and address it quickly instead of doing the oldfashioned way where you’re going to do destructive core testing and you’re going to tear up the roof and you’re going to waste a lot of time doing it.
