This inspection used ASTM Standard E1105 window water testing to evaluate window performance under real-world conditions. By applying negative pressure to the interior of the window while spraying water on the exterior, the test simulates wind-driven rain and exposes potential failure points.
The process included building the pressure chamber, monitoring pressurization throughout the test, and closely observing for water intrusion. The test is concluded after 15 minutes, or sooner if water intrusion is observed. Both windows failed, providing clear, documented results the client can act on with confidence.
