Client Challenge

The roofing contractor was tasked with assessing the roof and repairing several leaky areas within a tight budget and short timeframe.

Assessment & Results

The solution for this client used an expedited roof inspection and leak detection process. We began by taking a series of high-resolution aerial images at different angles along with a visual mapping of the entire roof system, stitched together into a single large image, all delivered later in the day.

After the aerial imaging, we went on-roof where we took photographic documentation of membrane failures, cracks, and other signs of damage.

Next, we conducted impedance testing and marked the roof with high-visibility paint where moisture intrusion is suspected. This creates moisture maps that support budgeting and repair decisions.

After the impedance testing, we took core samples to help validate moisture areas and assumptions derived from the other testing methods. Each core sample is photographed, documenting the core sample location and moisture readings taken from each layer of the roofing system.

All inspection images and moisture maps were delivered to the client in the afternoon, just hours after the inspection was completed.

Example Images

To provide a clearer picture of our process and results, we’ve included example images from the inspection. These images showcase the high-resolution photographic documentation and the on-roof painted moisture map.

Take a look to see how this expedited roof inspection and leak detection process works in practice.

This case study highlights how our expedited roof inspection helped a roofing contractor make a timely assessment within a tight budget and short timeframe. By delivering high-resolution image documentation and on-roof moisture maps, the contractor was able to provide a rapid turnaround for their client.
